 "Wanting to be Saved"

Scripture:

"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus,
for it is He who will save His people from their sins: (Matthew 1:21)

Reflection:

Do you ever feel like you are falling and you need to be saved. That
your life is a continuous mess and there is no end in sight. I really
believe that we all feel the need to be rescued at some points in our
lives. Well I would like to tell that Jesus Christ is there to save you.
You don't have to be bound by sin, and you don't have to feel like you
are falling. You don't need to be unhappy. I have discovered that when
I asked my Savior to help me, He really does. I do not have to be alone,
I do not have to keep falling. I think we get so involved with material things,
we get so involved with are own pleasures, we begin to realize that those
kind of things really don't make you happy. Every time I have found myself
in that position, I have gone to Jesus for help. You know something the
answer is always the same, I am a saved person. When I go back to
Jesus, a change comes over me. When I am in God's grace, I begin to
think about others and when I think of others I become involved, and when
I become involved I stop falling. That is a great cycle to be in. Remember
Jesus Christ is your savior and He is my savior, you don't have to keep
falling.

Prayer:

Jesus thank You for dying for me. Thank You for keeping me from falling.
Thank You for eternal life. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD.

 Show Me God

Scripture:

"Show me your faith without the works, and I will show my faith
by my works". (James 2:18) NAS

"That without works is useless". (James 2:20) NAS

"You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone."
(James 2:24) NAS

"For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith
without works is dead" (James 2:26) NAS

Reflection:

We are always asking God, show me? We want proof that God is God.
We want proof that God loves us, as if the death of His Son would not be
enough. I think James is telling up that we need to prove to God and others
our faith. You see faith without good works is not really faith. We must
show our faith in Jesus through our actions. The ironic thing about
all this is the proof that God is God in us!!!!!!!

Prayer:

Jesus I pray that my faith in you is seen through my good works everyday.
My love, compassion, and service is found in my faith in You.
THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

 Prove it to me God

Scripture:

"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent...
They said to Him, "What sign will you perform?" (John 6: 29,30)

Reflection:

It has always been fascinating to me that people who question the existence of god seem to
always want proof. I think they mentally make a list of things that God needs to do to prove
Himself. Whats sad about all this is that they can't seem to see all the wonderful things God
has already done for them . Even the people who followed Jesus and witnessed His miracles
asked for more and more proof , they were never satisfied. I have a suggestion, instead of
waiting for God to do that one thing that you demand of Him to prove Himself. Why don't
you take a look at what He has already done! I know I do and it makes a whole lot of
difference in my life.

Prayer:

Oh mighty God, I need no proof of you existence because Your grace is constantly
at work in my life. Help me to be ever mindful of Your presence and to always seek
Your guidance in my life. I praise You and honor You! THANK YOU GOD FOR
BEING GOD. In Jesus name amen.

 This is God's World

Headline:

The U.S. House of Representatives voted to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling last week. Drilling proponents argued that the refuge on Alaska's North Slope would provide 1 million barrels a day of additional domestic oil and reduce the need for imports. But others oppose developing what environmentalists argue is a pristine area, where drilling will harm caribou, polar bears and migratory birds. (AP)

Scripture:

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Reflection:

This is just a few of the many passages found in the Holy Scriptures
that talk of Mankind to be rulers, caretakers, ambassadors, of His world.
Is this how to do it. Christian's should be appalled at this legislation.
I am so tired of every time that we find ourselves inconvenienced we take it out
on God's earth. Since the beginning of time we were to take care of God's
good earth, instead we have taken care of its demise. When are we going to take
our responsibility seriously. When are we going to ask WWJD ( What Would Jesus
Do). Would Jesus be the foreman of the drilling crew or the leader of the
environmentalists. If you say he would be the foreman of the drilling crew, I have
to seriously question your interpretation of Scripture. LET US PUT AN END
TO THE DESTRUCTION OF GOD'S ENVIRONMENT NOW!!!!!!!!!!
Write, email, phone, or fax, your congressman.

Prayer:

Lord let us take our responsibility seriously, I pray starting today
we take care of your environment. Lord give us strength to be Your
care takers, to do Your will. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair. Hope.
Where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born
to eternal life.
