FAMILY THE CENTER
Scripture:
3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3)
14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)
Reflection:
How likely do you think it is that when at the end of your life you look to God and say "In my life I wish I had spent more time at work." Not likely, most of us will be saying "In my life I wish I had spent more time with my family." Parents please make more time with your children! They want and need it. Now is the time to be a friend to your kids, love them, spend lots of time with them. Actually make your family the center of your social life. Give your children ideals for living. Right from the beginning teach your children moral, ethical, and spiritual principals that will guide and give a foundation to their lives. Do things together as a family, have a family night and let your children have a decision in how you spend your time together. Give your children structure and discipline. The Bible teaches "Correct thy son/daughter, and he shall give thee rest." (Proverbs 29:17) Teach your children to know God, and bring, (not just take) them to church. Some of the happiest memories of my childhood is that of Sunday School and Church. I believe it is important that we give our children a church foundation, and later in their lives they can decide if they want to keep this foundation in their lives. Above all love God and with that love, love your family.
PRAYER:
Thank God for my Family!!!!!

Scripture:
"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32)
Reflection:
A lot of people are not aware that this phrase, made famous by Martin Luther King, was found in the Holy Scriptures. Christ reminds us to abide, study, live the word, (Scriptures) which is the truth. If you don't follow the truth you become a slave to sin, you abide in the world, not in the truth. If you really abide in the Word (truth) you become a disciple of Christ. Christ died on the cross to set you free. Free from sin, sin is no longer your master. Jesus Christ has set you free!!!!!!
Prayer:
Thank you Lord that I have discovered that in my life You are the Truth and You have set me free. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

Scripture:
"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent... They said to Him, "What sign will you perform?" (John 6: 29,30)
Reflection:
It has always been fascinating to me that people who question the existence of god seem to always want proof. I think they mentally make a list of things that God needs to do to prove Himself. Whats sad about all this is that they can't seem to see all the wonderful things God has already done for them . Even the people who followed Jesus and witnessed His miracles asked for more and more proof , they were never satisfied. I have a suggestion, instead of waiting for God to do that one thing that you demand of Him to prove Himself. Why don't you take a look at what He has already done! I know I do and it makes a whole lot of difference in my life.
Prayer:
Oh mighty God, I need no proof of you existence because Your grace is constantly at work in my life. Help me to be ever mindful of Your presence and to always seek Your guidance in my life. I praise You and honor You! THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD. In Jesus name amen.

Scripture:
"Show me your faith without the works, and I will show my faith by my works". (James 2:18) NAS
"That without works is useless". (James 2:20) NAS
"You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone." (James 2:24) NAS
"For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead" (James 2:26) NAS
Reflection:
We are always asking God, show me? We want proof that God is God. We want proof that God loves us, as if the death of His Son would not be enough. I think James is telling up that we need to prove to God and others our faith. You see faith without good works is not really faith. We must show our faith our faith in Jesus through our actions. The ironic thing about all this is the proof that God is God in us!!!!!!!
Prayer:
Jesus I pray that my faith in you is seen through my good works everyday. My love, compassion, and service is found in my faith in You. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD
